HOW DO I WASH AND DRY MY HEADWEAR?
WASH AT MAX. 30 °C
Wash your headwear at max. 30 °C and select a wash programme with a delicate spin cycle. A fast spin could cause it to shrink. Do you need to go into a sterile room? Your headwear is suitable for a 60 °C wash programme but may wear out more quickly as a result and you should do it only if really necessary. We recommend ordering a few different ones so you can alternate a bit more frequently. This will allow you to enjoy them for longer.
DON’T USE WOOL DETERGENT OR FABRIC SOFTENER
An ordinary laundry detergent is the best choice. Don’t use a special wool detergent, as this will cause piling and make the fabric wear out faster. If your skin becomes itchy or irritated easily, it’s best not to use fabric softener.
USE A LAUNDRY BAG
Ideally, put your headwear in a laundry bag. This is a particularly important if you opted for a style with long ribbons. This will prevent them from getting tangled up and stretched out amongst the rest of your washing.
AND WHAT ABOUT TUMBLE DRYING?
Your headwear may shrink in the tumble dryer. Unless tumble-drying is a necessity, it’s best to airdry your new purchase. If you would prefer to avoid clothes peg marks or the risk of stretching, lie it out to dry flat instead of hanging it on the line.
IRONING IS POSSIBLE BUT NOT REQUIRED
If you would like your new headwear to be neatly ironed, do it at a low temperature.
